Anyway, I never thought I’d be able to write a column in Filipino. I’m not horrible with the language, it’s my friggin’ primary language, but I’m not really good at it either. Some of my friends said that I should stop speaking it because of my lousy vocab(but I can fix that), grammar(I can fix that too!) and lack of cultural smarts(I am seriously fixing this one, especially after that barat vs. burat incident.)

But hell, no. I think I’m getting better in Filipino.

Anyway, I’m quite happy about being published in a Filipino publication; it kind of relieves me to know that I know how to write in two languages!
